Actisense showcases new products at Seawork
UK-based Actisense revealed three new products designed to improve efficiency for customers at Seawork 2017.
The first product to be unveiled by Actisense at the 13-15 June event was the A2K-RSK-1, a new NMEA 2000 starter kit created for RIBs.
The kit includes a 4-way T, a 3m micro power cable, plus male and female terminators. Actisense said the A2K-RSK-1 enables all items on a RIB to be efficiently connected and will minimise the chance of trip hazards or requirement for extra wires.
The company also introduced the A2K-SBN- 1, an NMEA 2000 network device specifically for smaller boats. Designed using Actisense’s specialist interconnect and NMEA knowledge, the compact device includes a 4-way-T, a three-metre micro-power cable, plus a male and female terminator.
Phil Whitehurst, managing director of Actisense, said: “Both have been designed with efficiency and practicality in mind and will be great for anyone looking to create a small network for the first time or those who prefer to keep their networks simple.”
Visitors to the exhibition additionally had the opportunity to view the prototype of the second product in Actisense’s ‘PRO’ range. The Professional Multiplexer, (PRO-MUX-1) is designed specifically for larger vessels and commercial shipping and joins the Professional Buffer (PRO-BUF-1).
