British rubber specialist, Avon Impact Management (AIM), demonstrated a duo of new marine thermal imaging cameras at Seawork 2016.

Both cameras - the Argus P Type and the Argus TT Type - have been tested by the Royal Navy.

The Argus P Type is a full-spec monocular thermal imaging camera designed to help marine personnel detect the heat signatures of people, hidden obstacles and approaching vessels. Designed for uses such as search and rescue, night time navigation, man over-board and ship security surveillance, the camera allows you to identify, observe and monitor objects over 1 mile away in total darkness.

The Argus TT Type thermal camera combines a classic torchlight with infrared technology. It can be used to detect navigational hazards, patrol vessels, and scan the waters or alert other crew members of a safety risk.
