Phase 2 of the construction of the Thi Vai LNG terminal in Vietnam will begin to enable 3 million tonnes to be imported next year.

PetroVietnam Gas, which owns the port, has almost completed the first phase of the work and has commissioned the second phase, which will ‘facilitate LNG supply for Vietnam’.

”To safeguard the traffic of LNG carriers supplying international routes, it was vital that we upgraded the terminal with an integrated berthing system that successfully meets international LNG operation safety and quality specifications and standards,” said the PV Gas Project Management Company with PetroVietnam Gas.

“We’ve no doubt that Trelleborg is the ideal strategic partner to realise our ambition of facilitating LNG supply for Vietnam.”
