Two marine technology companies have joined up to deliver systems for Maersk Offshore Wind for vessels that will work at Empire Offshore Wind off New York.
Norwegian maritime autonomy and situational awareness technology firm Zeabuz has signed a letter of intent to work with Marine Technologies, a US firm that proivides integrated bridge systems and DPS for maritime.

The firms will complement each other to provide an advanced situational awareness suite for the Articulated Tugs and Barges (ATBs) that are owned and operated by Edison Chouest Offshore and in construction at Bollinger Shipyard, which is in Louisiana alongside one of Marine Technologies’ offices.
The situational awareness suite aims to enhance the safety and efficiency of the ATBs so operators can keep a proper lookout during transit from port to Wind Turbine Installation Vessel (WTIV), ‘with the latest in marine technology to meet the demanding requirements of offshore wind farm operations’.
