Great Yarmouth, UK - June 2026 - Charity & Taylor is pleased to announce the next evolution of VASCO VR, the portable virtual-reality training solution developed by Kilo-Solutions.

Following the strong industry response to the partnership unveiled at Seawork 2025, VASCO VR has now been enhanced with a dedicated workboat-specific capability, designed to support safer, smarter, and more eicient operations across the workboat sector.
The upgraded VASCO VR system—delivered through a lightweight, COTS Meta Quest portable headset—oers immersive, high-fidelity training scenarios that can be deployed anywhere, without the need for fixed simulators or specialist facilities. The new workboat module introduces highly realistic operational environments that support bridge resource management, risk-identification exercises, and scenario-based training tailored specifically to workboat crews and operators.

Throughout Seawork 2026, visitors will have the opportunity to experience the enhanced VASCO VR system first-hand at Stand D8, where Charity & Taylor and Kilo-Solutions will be running live demonstrations. Attendees can explore the new workboat capability, trial the headset, and learn about additional features and developments being introduced for 2026.
“The response from the workboat community over the past year has been exceptional,” said the Charity & Taylor team. “Their feedback has directly shaped the next phase of VASCO VR. The new workboat capability brings immersive, portable training to a sector that requires flexible, high-impact, and low-cost solutions.”

VASCO VR continues to gain traction as operators embrace modern, accessible, and cost-eective training that enhances competence and reduces risk—without taking vessels out of operation. Its portability, realism, and ease of deployment make it an invaluable tool for strengthening safety culture and operational readiness.
