    Minor tsunami monitored off UK coast

    A network of coastal tidal and wave monitoring stations maintained by EMU Limited recorded the progress of the waves caused by a minor tsunami along the south coast of the UK at the end of June.

    The Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) has awarded marine survey specialists EMU Limited (EMU) a multi-million pound hydrographic contract as part of its programme to systematically survey the waters around the UK.

  • Sonar imagery of a previously unknown 45m wreck found in the outer Thames Estuary by Emu during recently completed pre-construction surveys for the London Array Wind Farm project and its associated export cable route.

    Emu of Durley, Southampton UK reports the discovery of a previously unknown 45ml ong seabed wreck in the approaches to Foulger’s Gat in the Thames Estuary. Lying in 4.5m of water, its precise identity and circumstances of loss are not known.
