The dredger Krabbe has the job of maintaining parts of the Elbe

The new 36m floating dredge Krabbe has gone into service on Germany’s River Elbe to help keep the upper reaches of the important waterway clear for shipping to and from the port of Hamburg, writes Tom Todd.
