Actisense products and expertise donation to help NCI keep a close watch

Keeping a close eye out for those in danger off UK shores, the National Coastwatch Institute (NCI) is a registered charity set up to restore a visual watch along the UK’s coastline after the closure of many small Coastguard stations. Serving both the commercial and leisure marine industry, the marine electronics specialists at Actisense in Poole have donated sophisticated products and technical expertise to support the NCI’s work locally.

Helping to ensure the safety of those in UK waters, Actisense charitable contribution has included a NGW-1 Conversion Gateway. This has been donated to the new NCI lookout station which recently opened at Hengistbury Head in Christchurch. This piece of equipment will help the NCI to monitor important data from vessels on the local coastline more accurately and effectively. Actisense will also be providing expert technical support to help them install and fully utilise the new equipment.
