Commercial lifejacket debut
Ocean Safety’s new commercial twin chamber lifejacket, named the K2, will be making its UK debut at Seawork International this year.
This high quality jacket, and the first of its kind, is compact and easy to wear, yet fully functional for demanding maritime conditions.
The K2 275N range offers a twin chamber lifejacket that is approved to SOLAS MED Ship’s Wheel and is manufactured under the accredited Lloyds Register ISO 9001 quality system. It’s designed to be extremely compact and unobtrusive and is available with or without a sprayhood. It is wearable by professional mariners and personnel working next to water, whilst undertaking all types of work.
The AQ40L lifejacket light which comes fitted as standard and it’s also equipped so that it can be fitted with a Kannad R10 Survival Recovery System AIS Beacon for total peace of mind. The lifejacket is available in two covers: standard nylon, and industrial grade for heavier duty work situations.
The high performance jacket provides over 300N of buoyancy from both or either chamber. This is controlled via inbuilt pressure relief valves providing the maximum in performance and safety. Self righting capabilities and fast inflation are assured with the use of 2 x 60g Co2 cylinders.
The lifejacket has all the features that would be expected in a high specification jacket, including quick burst zip closers, crotch strap, buddy line, harness, whistle and lifting beckets.
The new K2 lifejackets are manufactured in the UK at Ocean Safety’s state of the art production facility.
