Heila namechange
Following on from the merging of Heila and Double D two years ago, from January 1st 2015 Double D marine equipment B.V. will continue its activities under the name Heila Nederland B.V.
According to a company spokesperson the operation of the company will not change. Heila Italy (Heila Cranes S.p.a.) will focus entirely on the production of marine and offshore cranes, while Heila Nederland will take care of the sales of marine and offshore cranes in the USA, Northern Europe, UK, Germany and the Benelux.
Heila was founded in the 1970s and is based in Poviglio (province Emilia Romagna) in Italy. The company produces marine and offshore cranes, both standard and custom built. Heila cranes are principally used on tugs, work vessels, cargo ships, ferries, pipe and cable-laying vessels, offshore platforms and in the military sector. In the dredging sector, the cranes are generally used for handling of anchors and floating pipelines.
