High clarity IWCS audio unit
Danish smart tech company IWCS has developed an audio unit that combines the user’s VHF/UHF radio with a waterproof intercom, enabling hands-free, clear communication under the most demanding conditions.
The modular and fully scaleable IriSound system processes all sound signals to and from external units whether they are headsets or external radio units.
IriSound’s electronics design is based on the newest 24bit/48kHz Digital Signal Processing (DSP) technology, which offers high sound quality and software features like dynamic noise reduction, user-controlled voice groups etc., some of which are offered as additional features.
Waterproof exterior
iriSound’s cast aluminum enclosure and the IP67-rated connectors offer a fully waterproof exterior construction designed specifically for the harsh conditions onboard small and medium sized vessels.
iriSound is available in various configurations. The basic unit offers 4, 6 or 8 audio channels, but the system can be extended to numerous channels, which can be configured freely between wired/wireless headsets and external radios.
Additional features include Full Duplex, AVAD – adaptiv voice activity detection, and mobile phone connectivity, plus an audio recorder feature allowing for post-mission evaluation and documentation.
