Major comms order for Hagenuk

With this order, Hagenuk Marinekommunikation will follow up the successful delivery for boats 1 to 5 of the first batch.

The scope of supply includes radios of the complete telecommunications spectrum from 10kHz to 20GHz, which enable information to be exchanged with other ships, boats or shore stations via special input devices in the form of voice and data radio. These intelligent communication systems offer users the greatest possible support in their tasks and thus make a significant contribution to the reliable operation of ships and their crews.

For Hagenuk Marinekommunikation, this delivery represents one of the largest single orders in the company’s almost 120-year history. This order will secure the location and the jobs in Flintbek near Kiel, where communication systems for the German Navy and international navies have been developed and manufactured for over 20 years.

The client is the K130 consortium (ARGE K130), which is an alliance of the Lürssen shipyard (Lürssen Werft GmbH & Co. KG) as the leading company, thyssenkrupp Marine Systems GmbH and German Naval Yards Kiel GmbH.
