Renewables focus prompts new office
LOC Longitude has opened a new office in Newcastle, its fourth UK office and seventh globally
This office will host specialist Geotechnical, Geological, Naval Architecture and Marine Systems Consulting Engineers in order to better serve its growing client base in the region.
North East England remains a key strategic location for the offshore renewables sector. A number of companies are based in the area, due to the extensive port facilities, the skilled local workforce and the support for future Offshore Wind Farm developments. It is also a thriving manufacturing centre with shipyards and specialist equipment suppliers working across many maritime sectors including commercial shipping and defence. This office will therefore enable Longitude to better serve this growing and increasingly important UK industry, supporting the renewables, shipping and oil and gas sectors.
The office will be manned by Catherine Bradley and Cara Watson, specialists in Offshore Renewables, and Jonathan Land, a specialist in ships and offshore construction projects.
