65 knot patrol boat for Greek Special Forces
Viking Life-Saving Equipment has won a tender to supply the Hellenic Army Special Forces with its Munin S1200 daughter craft, the largest boat type currently offered by Viking.
Designed to operate for extended periods of time away from land or its mother ship, the 12m length by 3.5m deep-V hull boat will support Special Forces in tactical manoeuvres, patrol and search and rescue operations.
In this case, the RHIB features triple Mercury Verado 400 Racing outboard motors, to drive the S1200 through the water at over 65 knots. The Mercury Verado 400 is also renowned for its robust yet easy-to-handle lightweight fibreglass housing.
