Emilsen Fisk purchases ProZero workboat
Tuco Marine’s subsidiary ProZero Norge has sold a custom ProZero workboat to Norwegian fishfarming company Emilsen Fisk.
The 11m long ProZero boat has a deep V-bottom-design for comfort and will be used for passenger transport at the Emilsen Fisk breeding plant off Rørvik.
“Seakeeping capability, efficiency and comfort are some of the most sought-after parameters for modern, fast work boats,” said Jonas Pedersen from Tuco Marine. “Consequently, we focus strongly on these qualities in our ProZero range of fast boats for professional users…A deep V-bottom simply requires more power than a flat, but what we gain is the safe and comfortable ride that our customers seek. Instead, we obtain fuel savings through innovative solutions and weight savings.”
Low weight
The vessel is made from composite materials and is equipped with aluminum railing. Smart material selection helps reduce the weight, plus ensure low maintenance and superior strength, said Tuco Marine.
The vessel’s low weight and inboard Volvo Penta diesel engine means it can achieve speeds of more than 30 knots.
The boat includes diesel heating, dual VHF, radar, a 12-inch touch multi-screen, AIS, shore power supply, Navtex equipment and air-suspended driver’s seat.
Finland representative
Tuco Marine has recently appointed Finland-based agent Nordec Nautic Oy as exclusive representative for the ProZero boat series in Finland.
Mr Pedersen commented: “We are extremely pleased of the new collaboration with Nordec Nautic Oy and owner Juha Pulli, and we do expect this will make Finland a priority market, for the ProZero vessels over the coming years.”
