IJveer ferries for GVB Amsterdam
Holland Shipyards Group has announced that it has again been contracted for the building of two more IJveer ferries of the 60-series for GVB Amsterdam.
The design has proven to be a success, significantly reducing consumption and emissions. Leaving the GVB ready for a greener future in line with the City of Amsterdam’s 2020 climate goals.
After having successfully delivered IJveer 60 and IJveer 61 Holland Shipyards won a follow-up tender for additional ferries.
The construction of the first ferry has already started, preparations for the second one are currently being made. Both ferries are set to be delivered in 2018.
