Prestigious industry award for Subsea consultancy
Subsea engineering analysis consultancy AgileTek has won the Small Company of the Year Award at this year’s Subsea UK awards both for its overall company performance in the sector plus its plans for future growth.
Steve Rossiter, AgileTek’s managing director said that the award acknowledges the rapid progress and growth that AgileTek has undergone since its inception.
“This validation for efforts undertaken in the last three years means a tremendous amount to the team and is hugely inspiring for our new younger staff,” he said.
“It is also a great way to mark the efforts of the “original AgileTek team”, who took risks and put in long hours to build the company to the point it is at today.”
Strong reputation
Since it was established in 2015, AgileTek has gained a strong reputation within the offshore energy industry where it provides an engineering consultancy service to developers, installers and manufacturers.
The company specialises in the offshore wind, offshore oil and gas and wave power sectors, conducting studies and analysis of flexible pipes, subsea power cables, umbilicals, marine hoses, cable protection systems and SURF ancillaries.
AgileTek is known for its work supporting the Hydro Group assisting with design and engineering of accessories for the cable connected to a wave energy conversion device.
It has also previously completed work on a multi-phase study on subsea power cables for the Walney Extension offshore windfarm.
During the project, the company worked directly with DONG Energy to undertake a 12-month study to quantify and eliminate risks to subsea power cables.
