My-AIS will transmit a ‘man overboard’ alert and the position of the alert to nearby boats within a range of 5 to 10 nautical miles depending on sea conditions.

SIMY is a brand name of SYRLINKS’ safety products marketed on simy-beacons.co.uk.

SYRLINKS claims to be one of the world’s leading specialists in compact emergency beacons and satellite communications products, some of which have been used for renowned space missions (Mission Rosetta and landing of its Robot Philae on Comet Choury in 2014).

My-AIS is smaller than a cell phone (11x4x2cm) and very light (95g), SYRLINKS says it will be discreet and quickly forgotten once inserted into the user’s lifejacket.

The unit is waterproof to IP67, has an integral 72 channel GPS and uses VHF frequencies AIS1 (161.975 MHz) and AIS2 (162.025 MHz) to transmit the MOB alert.
