Robust handover to UK Dredging

The handover of Robust Boats new aluminium survey craft for UK Dredging took place at this year’s Seawork International.

Will Wye from UK Dredging said, “We came to Seawork in 2013 looking for a new survey vessel, met Robust Boats and chose them for a bespoke build of our 19C aluminium survey craft. The boat does what it says on the side – it is incredibly robust. It’s used for near shore hydrographic surveying, so we value its mobility and the ease of getting it quickly from site to site.

Robust Boats built this vessel on time and within budget, despite external pressures, and we are delighted with the results – an excellent performer.”

The vessel on berth V18 at Seawork this year, is powered by twin Yamaha F40s, as specified by UK Dredging. The 60hp Yamahas give an impressive top speed of 25+ Knots.

The Robust 19C 18`8″ workboat is made from 5mm 5083 Marine grade aluminium. It has a max power 50hp tiller, 115hp remote and centre console. It has a 7`0″ beam, with only 6” draught keel to waterline, providing outstanding stability, whilst providing ample deck space for carrying goods, passengers, or fishing.

Robust Boats manufactures a range of workboats and aluminium hulled ribs suitable for both commercial and non-commercial applications ranging from 14ft up to 24ft.
