It is from American fuel management specialist Algae-X that Sunshine has just received a new system for tank cleaning and transferring and polishing fuel. The company's small, portable and surprisingly low cost TK-150 cleans, reconditions and transfers diesel, oil and coolants to provide a useful new tool for maintenance personnel, marinas, or any workboat operator wishing to avoid sludge induced downtime.
The TK-150 improves combustion for more efficient engine operation and power, lowers fuel consumption, reduces emissions and eliminates carbon deposits while extending injector and equipment life. It also provides for longer intervals between fuel filter changes and tank cleaning intervals, less maintenance plus enhanced safety and reliability. It also improves fuel stability for extended shelf life and lower operating costs.
The base unit contains an 11.4 litre per minute brass gear pump, strainer and LG-X500 fuel conditioning unit. Optional components include stainless steel strainers, reinforced flexible hose and a variety of filters and connectors.
