‘Bayesian’ superyacht to be raised this weekend

2025-05-08 A remote-controlled submersible is lowered from HEBO LIFT 2 to carry out underwater analysis of Bayesian and the surrounding seabed

After months of meticulous planning, cutting-edge salvage equipment, and round-the-clock operations, the 56-metre sailing superyacht Bayesian is scheduled to be lifted from her 50m seabed grave this weekend.

Nearly a year after the sinking off the coast of northern Sicily, one of Europe’s most powerful maritime cranes will finally raise the aluminium-hulled vessel to the surface on Saturday.
