Keel laid for new hybrid survey vessel
Neptune Marine has officially begun the construction of a new hybrid survey and remotely operated vehicle support vessel, with a keel laying ceremony held on 21 January at its facilities in Hardinxveld-Giessendam in the Netherlands.
N-Sea has entered into a long-term charter agreement with Mainport Shipping for the delivery of the Geo Master, a vessel designed similarly to the Geo Ranger. The Geo Ranger is already under the management of N-Sea Group and has been an essential asset in the company’s operations.
Neptune Marine has confirmed that the Geo Master is expected to be delivered in the first quarter of 2026, with the vessel scheduled to enter full operational service by mid-March 2026. Once operational, the vessel will become a critical addition to N-Sea’s fleet, supporting the company’s growth objectives.
The Geo Master will be equipped with advanced technology and systems designed to meet the latest fuel efficiency and emission standards. Notably, the vessel will also be capable of running on biofuel, reinforcing N-Sea’s commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.
With the Geo Master under full commercial management by N-Sea, the vessel will play a crucial role in further strengthening the company’s specialised fleet and meeting the needs of clients in the offshore and marine sectors.
