Sanmar launches first electric tug for own fleet
Following the Robert Allan design exclusive to Sanmar, the Turkish shipbuilder has built an electric-propelled tug for its own fleet.
Having built several battery-powered vessels for clients, such as the five tugs covered by Maritime Journal that have just reached their final destinations in Canada, the yard has added a similar tug for operations at six ports around Turkey, Sanmar says.
