Organisers say the rebrand reflects Seawork’s commitment to innovation and industry excellence, and its strong connection to the global commercial marine sector.

“The awards will continue to celebrate the outstanding achievements of individuals, businesses, and vessels that are making significant contributions to the commercial marine industry,” the organisers say. “This change aims to align the awards more closely with the Seawork brand, reinforcing its position as a leading platform for showcasing cutting-edge technologies, sustainable practices and exemplary achievements in maritime operations.”

Key categories of the Seawork Awards 2025 Include:

  • Innovation Awards: Celebrating groundbreaking technologies and forward-thinking projects that are transforming the maritime industry.
  • The Maritime Sustainability Award
  • The Maritime Civils Best Project Award
  • Young Person’s Development Award, sponsored by Svitzer
  • The Maritime Professional of the Year Award
  • The Lifetime Achievement Award, sponsored by Mercator Media & Maritime Journal

Organisers say the Seawork Awards will continue to uphold the high standards set by the ECMAs, while enhancing their relevance by expanding categories to reflect the growing importance of sustainability, innovation, and diversity in the sector.

Seawork 2025, taking place on 10–12 June in Southampton, UK, is set to be another landmark event, featuring more than 600 exhibitors and industry-leading conferences as well as the much-anticipated awards ceremony.
