Sanmar Expand Towage and Tugbuilding Activities

Sanmar Ltd of Istanbul, Turkey, has reported a very successful 2003 for both aspects of their business – tug operation and the construction of new vessels. Seven new tugs were delivered last year and three others currently under construction will be completed before the end of the first quarter of 2004. Since Sanmar entered that shipbuilding field in 1989, using their own in-house resources, a total of 35 vessels have been completed.
