Jan De Nul Group wins project in Malaysia – by David Foxwell
Belgium’s Jan De Nul Group has been awarded a contract for the reclamation of the ‘Lido Boulevard’ in Malaysia.
The works consist of the reclamation of 50 hectares of land in Johor Bahru for residential purposes. In total 6,500,000 m³ of material has to be reclaimed in a period of 15 months.
The contract will be executed using the trailing suction hopper dredger Vasco da Gama and is worth some €50m.
