Cheaper chart production

There is no need to spend a lot of money producing digital charts for navigation, says Hamburg-based SevenCs, the former subsidiary of the UK Hydrographic Office.

Instead, it is possible to use a combination of the company’s specialised software to build individual modular production systems without unnecessary complexity and cost.

Specifically designed for both low and medium volume production environments typical of many hydrographic offices, waterway authorities and ports, the German company says its electronic nautical chart (ENC) tools are fast to implement, quick to learn and simple to use. All are fully Windows compatible while providing sophisticated log handling for workflow management for which all actions, warnings and errors are displayed in a dedicated log window.
