Seismic contracts for Dolphin Geophysical
Oslo based Dolphin Geophysical is to carry out new 3D multi-client surveys offshore Lebanon using its high capacity seismic vessel, Polar Duke. Beginning this September, project coverage comprises an area of around 1,500 sq/km, with data due to be delivered to clients by the end of the year.
Meanwhile, the Norwegian company says it has also received a letter of intent from Shell South Africa Upstream BV for an 8,000 sq/km seismic survey in offshore areas of South Africa. Operations are due to begin towards the end of this year aboard Polar Duchess, a purpose designed, high end 3D seismic vessel capable of towing 14 streamers at 100m separation.
