OMM German contract
Offshore Marine Management’s Survey & Subsea Department in Cambridge UK is to carry out major survey operations in the German Bight sector of the southern North Sea under a three year agreement with wind farm specialists TenneT Offshore GmbH of Bayreuth.
Operations in support of TenneT Offshore’s existing and proposed subsea assets will include both offshore and nearshore cable route surveys, site investigations, ROV visual and depth of burial/subsea inspection and LIDAR surveys. Other activities will cover laboratory testing and final deliverables comprising reporting, charting GIS and digital videos.
OMM’s director of survey and subsea, Arron Burrows, said the new contract represents continuation of a three year working relationship with the German utilities organisation following earlier work for its formative concerns, Transpower Offshore and Eon Netz Offshore. The UK company, which has its headquarters in Bristol, also maintains an operational base in Hamburg in addition to a presence in Panama and the Middle East.
