Offshore Survey 2013

This year’s hydrographic conference season opens with a major two day event at the National Oceanography Centre in Southampton UK from 10-11 April.

It is part of the wider Ocean Business 13 technology exhibition, which is expected to attract more than 4,000 visitors from over 50 countries.

Focusing on technology, operational and general business issues within the global field of offshore surveying, proceedings comprise a series of 20 specialist presentations by speakers from Australia, Denmark, France, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, the UK and the US.

Opening with a keynote address on keeping up with the Facebook world of today by Rob Luijnenburg, corporate strategy and communications director of Fugro NV, topics include Hydrographic and Seabed Surveys, Data Processing and Visualisation, Industry and Professional Issues, Subsea Positioning, and Survey Operation.

Conference chairman Ed Danson of C-Nav UK says the gathering will reflect growing optimism within an innovative industry looking very much to the future while embracing new technologies and broadening horizons.
