New GNSS compass module
Hemisphere GNSS, the US-Canadian company, has launched a new high performance receiver for heading, positioning, heave and attitude operations in what it calls challenging and dynamic environments, Crescent Vector H200.
Designed for integration into hydrographic and bathymetric survey systems, autopilots, dredging and buoys and using two antennae, it can compute heading and pitch or roll angle while stationary or in motion.
Quoted heading accuracy is 0.02° using a 5m separation antenna while a variety of differential correction methods enable the system to provide sub-metre to centimetre positional accuracies. It also supports a variety of differential positioning solutions by optimising use of both GPS and Glonass satellite signals. European distributors of the system are Saderet of the Isle of Man.
