Osiris Projects adds to survey fleet

Bromborough UK based Osiris Projects, which claims to have successfully completed over 600 projects in the UK and northern Europe from inland surveys to multi-parameter seabed mapping projects, is to add a fourth custom built vessel to its fleet in September, Proteus.

Built by Blyth Workcats at its yard in Canvey Island, Essex, the 14m GRP survey catamaran has been specifically designed for coastal shallow water operations, with a hull shape ensuring exceptional manoeuvrability at both high and low speeds. It incorporates a moon pool, hydraulic A-frame and custom retractable transducer mounts. Among systems likely to be installed is Teledyne Reson’s latest SeaBat T20-P multibeam sounder with a configurable beam former, which was acquired by Osiris Projects earlier this year.
