Coastline Surveys-Innovatum joint venture

Major seabed and cable burial surveys for an un-named European wave energy test site are to be undertaken by the Submetrix division of Innovatum of Bury St Edmunds and Coastline Surveys of Falmouth, it was announced at Seawork.

For the project Coastline will deploy its 24m survey vessel MV Flatholm equipped with an Innovatum Cougar XT ROV together with an R2Sonic 2024 multibeam sounder and vibrocoring facilities.

Coastline, which recently upgraded its vessel with the addition of an EdgeTech 4200 sidescan sonar and a Geometrics 882 magnetometer among other systems, also reported a number of other recent contract awards involving work for the Swansea Bay tidal lagoon power project, the Navitus Bay windfarm venture off the Dorset and Hampshire coasts, and East Anglian offshore wind farms.
