Finning and Napier turbochargers
Finning UK and Ireland is now an authorised service and repair agent for Napier Turbochargers in the UK and Ireland. The service and distribution agreement applies to any MaK or Cat engine installation using a Napier turbocharger and will see Finning’s engineers providing a comprehensive range of maintenance and support services to Napier customers in the UK.
Neil Plummer, Manager MaK Marine and Technical Support explained: “Napier Turbochargers is a world leader in the design and manufacture of industrial turbochargers, with a significant number of units installed on MaK and Cat marine engines here in the UK and Ireland.
“We can now offer our customers an enhanced range of services and can schedule routine maintenance on both engine and turbocharger installations at the same time; helping to reduce downtime.
“We will also be able to offer customers a replacement turbocharger unit during major overhaul or repair to ensure vessel operations remain unaffected.”
