Actisense launches new NMEA 0183 buffer
NMEA specialist, Actisense, will showcase its new NMEA 0183 buffer, the PRO-BUF-1, at Seawork 2016.
The PRO-BUF-1 is the first product in the new ‘PRO’ range which is especially designed for the commercial marine market.
Director of Actisense, Phil Whitehurst, said: “We are thrilled to be showcasing the PRO-BUF-1 at Seawork 2016. This is the first in our new ‘PRO’ range which we have created following an increasing demand for our products to suit larger, commercial vessels.”
“We can’t wait to introduce the PRO-BUF-1 to the market at Seawork,” he added.
Aimed at larger vessels and commercial shipping it offers two NMEA 0183 inputs, twelve NMEA 0183 outputs, a bi-directional serial port and an Ethernet port. It also features two OPTO-isolated inputs and twelve ISO-Drive outputs.
The buffer has four pre-defined modes of operation and can be used ‘out of the box’ by hard-wiring the two mode inputs as required. The web browser-based configuration tool allows full customisation and is compatible across all popular operating systems.
