Madera RIBs reborn

Dutch company New Madera RIBs B.V. is a family business that started by taking over Madera Ribs B.V. from Veka Group in December 2014. The company has started by offering a 13.5m inboard- powered yacht tender RIB, but the company says it can be easily extended to a 15m platform and offers class leading payload capabilities making it highly suitable for commercial use.

MR1300 is powered by two Volvo Penta diesel engines (435hp each)

The MR1300 Inboard Yacht Tender shown here has a length from transom to bow of 13.5m with a maximum breadth of 4.25m and is powered by two Volvo Penta diesel engines (435hp each), connected to two Rolls Royce (Kamewa) Mixed Flow Water Jets. Making use of a Glass Cockpit fully automated navigation and communication system, the Maximum Speed is 45 knots. The RIB is CE-B and MCA certified. As a yacht tender, the vessel can carry a lot of weight; two crew, 10 passengers and/or 7,000kg payload.

The hull of the MR1300 Inboard Yacht Tender is fabricated using a newly designed digital mould and using the newest infusion technology to ensure a smooth, high quality and strong GRP construction. The mould can be used to build RIBs of different lengths (from 10-15m) combining high speed with huge Payload. The company says that the 15m design can carry a payload of more than 13,500kg (how much more depends on the outfitting of the RIB) with a free deck space of 38m2.

The RIB can be built with a full or partial covering cabin. Propulsion systems can use inboard or outboard engines of different brand and power and can use different brands and types of sterndrives, such as waterjets or surface drives.
