UK based boat electronic system’s expert, Actisense, is testing its latest innovation aimed at the larger vessel, in preparation for its official launch at Seawork International 2016.
The PRO-BUF-1 is an adaptable NMEA 0183 Buffer and provides isolation on all inputs and outputs as standard. With two NMEA 0183 inputs, twelve NMEA 0183 outputs, a bi-directional serial port and an Ethernet port, the PRO-BUF-1 is a good solution for larger leisure vessels and commercial shipping.
With four pre-defined modes of operation designed to suit the majority of NMEA 0183 systems, the PRO-BUF-1 is also ready to go ‘out of the box’ by simply hard-wiring the two mode inputs as required.
The product currently being tested to ensure the firmware can be updated in the field, This will enable Actisense to add more modes and features over time.
Actisense plans to launch the product so that it supports the most commonly used basic modes. Regular firmware updates will be provided which will add advanced functionality to these modes over time.
In addition to the product launch on the first day of Seawork, Actisense will hold a PRO-BUF-1 information session on the second day. There will be limited spaces so if you would like to attend you will need to register in plenty of time.
