Anglo-French working agreement

Applied Acoustic Engineering (AAE) of Great Yarmouth UK, manufacturers of subsea navigation and positioning systems and seismic survey equipment, is to collaborate with iXBlue, its French counterpart, in development of cross-compatibility between their respective acoustic positioning products.

It will, they say, create a greater degree of flexibility across a wide market area.

The agreement enables AAE’s complete range of 1000 Series transponders to operate with iXBlue’s widely deployed Gaps USBL systems using a jointly developed set of acoustic protocols. It will thus hopefully lead to servicing new clients whilst adding extra versatility to existing product ranges.
