Celebrating 40 years at Seawork 2012

Underwater lifting bag and buoyancy specialists JW Automarine will be celebrating 40 years in the business at Seawork 2012.

Being part of the multi-million dollar Scholle Corporation brings the financial stability and benefits of a worldwide organization and facilitates investment into new manufacturing technology.

The company has a reputation for reliable, fast turn around of engineered plastic products for use in underwater salvage, float outs, proof load bag testing and liquid storage tanks including those for potable water.

Based in Fakenham UK, the company is ISO 9001: 2008 accredited and is a member of IMCA.

Using the best materials available and a multi-skilled workforce, all products are first cut on a computerized CNC profiling table ensuring that each panel is accurately cut and replicated time after time. The panels are then radio frequency welded on specially designed machines to give a perfectly engineered final product.

These products utilise PU and PVC materials imported from two of the best producers in Europe. Both of these suppliers have extensive technical and research departments which JW Automarine tap into as an extra resource on new applications.

In addition to flexible and underwater lifting products JWA has developed many bespoke products including water test bags, lifeboat test bags, survival systems, helium gas bag storage systems, Lockheed submarine PU ballast bags, sub-Arctic drill stabilising buoyancy bags, and freeboard enhancers for submarine rescue. Most of these products were designed on a confidential project basis with large clients with specific markets or applications in mind.

Production is complemented by a design facility which utilizes a 3-D Solid Works system. To further develop their service the company is currently adding 50% more workshop space onto its existing manufacturing facility in Fakenham.
