Dredging and wind farm work for Coastline Surveys
Also at Seawork 2011, Coastline Surveys reported that it has been retained locally by Land & Water Services of Guildford to provide survey support for dredging work presently being carried out at Falmouth Marina.
The company, which earlier this year celebrated its 20th anniversary, also said it was about to start investigative work for the Humber Gateway project, one of the UK’s largest offshore wind farm ventures, with up to 77 turbines expected to provide power for around 150,000 homes. The work involves provision of cone penetrometer testing (CPT) using the company’s Seabed CPT system, capable of acquiring data at 8m below seabeds over depths down to 40m. It will be deployed from the dedicated 24m survey and research vessel, MV FlatHolm.
