18 US states sue Trump over offshore wind

Eighteen US states are taking US president Donald Trump’s administration to court for attempting to place an indefinite halt on offshore wind developments.

Led by New York Attorney General Letitia James, the suit names Trump himself as a defendant along with a host of other organisations, including the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM), BOEM Acting Director Walter Cruickshank, Secretary of the Interior Douglas Burgum, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and the National Marine Fisheries Service, and others.
