Contract awarded for subsea cables to Danish energy island

Bornholm Energy Island

Denmark’s €645 million energy island project has moved a step further with the award of a contract to install subsea power cables to connect offshore wind power to Denmark and Germany.

Bornholm Energy Island will produce 3GW of electricity from two wind farm areas near Rønne Banke, with turbines of up to 350 metres high installed about 15km from the coast.
