EU pledges €1 billion for alternative fuels

Europe’s aquaculture sector requires investment, long-term planning and hence clear and stable rules, say MEPs.

The European Commission is proposing to make a €1 billion investment in alternative fuels infrastructure to support an ‘indispensable’ level playing field for the bloc’s economy.

“The maritime transport market is subject to strong competition between economic actors within and outside the Union for which a level playing field is indispensable,” the EC says.
