Planning nod given for 3GW offshore wind farms

RWE and Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company PJSC (Masdar) have won planning permission for the 3GW Dogger Bank South (DBS) offshore wind development, marking a major milestone for one of the UK’s largest proposed renewable energy projects.

The approval was granted through a Development Consent Order (DCO) signed by Lord Whitehead on behalf of the UK Energy Secretary for the two projects, Dogger Bank South East and Dogger Bank South West, and the projects will mean a lot of work for the offshore marine supply chain.
