Sumitomo invests 33.3% in UK floating wind project

Japanese trading and investment firm Sumitomo has invested in its first floating wind farm, sounding a loud note of confidence in the sector.

Europe is ahead of China when it comes to floating wind, but that is unlikely to remain the case for long, with China installing a 16MW demonstrator earlier this year.
