UK announces new offshore wind auction date
The UK government will open its seventh auction round for Contracts for Difference to invite companies to bid for low-carbon projects – with a key difference this time.
For the first time, offshore wind an non-offshore wind technologies will be published on a separate timeline, to ‘allow us to confirm results as soon as possible’, the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero says.
