Belfast Harbour deploys autonomous debris removal system

Belfast Harbour Aquapod 1

An autonomous dockside system designed to continuously remove floating pollution from marinas, ports and waterfronts has been deployed at Belfast Harbour Marina as part of a commercial demonstration of the technology.

Developed by NetZero Alchemists, the Aquapod system is a fixed installation that operates continuously to collect floating litter, plastics, organic debris, microplastics and surface oil films from sheltered waters.
