Fuel cells ordered for research vessel retrofit

Fuel cells will be retrofitted to the 23-year-old research vessel Prince Madog to create a hydrogen-electric hybrid propulsion system.

Two 100kW systems are to be fitted to the vessel through a consortium working under the UK government’s Clean Maritime Demonstration Competition.
