​OSV sector picks up pace on digitalization

As well as offshore wind needs, major oil-producing nations in the Middle East and other regions are planning to ramp up production, driving up demand for offshore support vessels.

Amid the escalating demand, the industry faces a shortage of OSVs, many of which were scrapped or withdrawn from the market during the Covid era. Damien Bertin, business director of fleet digitalisation and performance firm Opsealog, gives his view on the changing needs of the industry.
