Partnership pushes aluminium anodes over zinc

Aluminium anode - as effective as zinc but less damaging to the environment

Vessel builders and operators should consider switching to aluminium anodes, says the Clean Harbour Partnership.

The Institute of Marine Sciences at Portsmouth University calculated that in 2020, 900 tonnes of zinc were released into coastal and inland waters, probably by recreational vessels.
